It’s important to check local zoning laws and building codes, as these vary widely by location. Additionally, make sure your tiny home is compliant with all legal requirements before installation.

Getting Your Tiny Home: Delivery and Setup Options Explained
Once your tiny home is complete, you can either pick it up directly from our facility or we can arrange delivery to your site. For Tiny Homes on Wheels (THOW), your home will arrive fully assembled and ready to park. Modular Tiny Homes (MTH), however, require a crane service for installation onto your prepared foundation, which we can arrange as part of a hands-off approach.
Want a hands-off experience? We can include delivery and installation services in your contract to make the process seamless. However, if you prefer, you’re welcome to hire your own contractors for transportation, crane installation, and setup. The choice is entirely yours! We can also help connect you with local contractors to handle utility connections and foundation work, ensuring everything is ready for your home’s arrival.

Can I Use an Existing Trailer for My Tiny Home?
At Beechwood Tiny Homes, we use brand-new, purpose-built trailers to ensure the highest standards of quality and safety for every tiny home. Our trailers are designed to meet all DOT regulations, including proper weight distribution, braking systems, and safety chain requirements. This helps ensure your Tiny Home on Wheels (THOW) complies with legal and safety standards, making your home road-ready.
While it’s possible to repurpose a used trailer for DIY projects, it’s crucial to verify the trailer’s Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) and Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR) to ensure it can safely handle the load. Additionally, the trailer must comply with federal trailer safety standards and local licensing requirements to legally operate on the road(Work Truck News)(Metalphoto Cincy).
If you’re unsure about trailer regulations or want more information on how we ensure safety in every build, contact us today!

Can I resell my tiny home in the future?
Yes, tiny homes can be resold, and well-maintained homes with NOAH certification tend to hold their value better. Factors such as condition, location, and whether the home is on wheels or a foundation can affect resale value. Homes built to meet local regulations and standards also tend to be more attractive to buyers. We recommend keeping up with routine maintenance to ensure your home retains its value.

What maintenance is required for a tiny home?
Like any home, tiny homes require routine maintenance to ensure longevity. Regular tasks include checking for leaks, inspecting the roof and windows, and maintaining the plumbing and electrical systems. For Tiny Homes on Wheels, it’s also important to check the trailer, tires, and axles to ensure road readiness. We provide a comprehensive maintenance guide with each home to help you keep your tiny home in top condition.

How do I connect utilities to my tiny home?
For Tiny Homes on Wheels (THOW), utility connections are typically done through RV-style hookups for water, electricity, and sewage. However, if you decide to place your THOW permanently, the connections will be similar to those for a Modular Tiny Home, using standard residential utility hookups. In this case, we work with local contractors to connect your home to the utility grid, including water, electricity, and sewer systems. We also recommend installing a crawl space under foundation-based homes, including permanently placed THOWs, for easier access to utilities.
